It all began
in 1990 with 25 members from a dozen families, in 2007 the South Kitsap Track and Field Club (Jaguars) had grown to 272 athletes
from 157 families.
Our
Purpose:
o To help kids learn the fundamentals of track and field
o To promote an support the growth of track and field athletes
o To foster good sportsmanship
o To
improve skills for higher level competition
o To provide
an opportunity to have safe healthy fun in track and field competition
o To
encourage kids to be active To provide an affordable family opportunity
PROCEDURES
& EXPECTATIONS
Basic
Procedures
o We practice 2-3 days a week.
o Times
are consistent: 5:30-7:00 Location for practices and meets is consistent: South Kitsap High School.
o PLEASE TAKE CARE OF AND RESPECT THE FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT.
o Check Family Folders at every practice.
o Return
any necessary forms promptly, i.e meet jobs, birth certificates, incomplete registration forms or T-shirt order forms
o Check Jaguar calendar regularly.
o Check
Jaguar website regularly.
We may be having some optional practices for athletes age 11 and older to receive training
in the Pole Vault, Hammer Throw and multi-events; decathlon /heptathlon.
